Support & Resistance
The price zones a symbol keeps bouncing off (support) or getting rejected at (resistance), based on its own trading history.
What it means
Support and resistance describe price levels where a symbol has repeatedly reversed direction in the past — support is a floor price tends to bounce off, resistance is a ceiling it tends to get turned back from. These levels form because they're where a meaningful number of past trades cluster (prior lows, prior highs, round numbers), so a fresh approach to the same zone tends to attract renewed buying or selling interest. A "confirmation" is price holding at a support level and bouncing; a "reject" is price breaking through a support level and closing below it.
How MarketWall calculates it
MarketWall scans each symbol's trailing 200 trading days for the price zone with the most touches (at least 5 to qualify as a real level, not noise), excluding the last few days so the current reaction can't define its own level. See the Data Sources & Methodology page for the full signal list.
How it's typically used
A support confirmation — price dipping toward a level and closing back above it — is read as bullish, especially the first time it happens after several touches establish the level as real. A support reject — closing below a level that previously held — is read as bearish, often watched as the level flipping from support to resistance on any later retest. Neither outcome is guaranteed by the level itself; a level is a zone where reactions have happened before, not a rule that a reaction must happen again.

FAQ
How many times does a level need to be tested to count as "real"?
MarketWall requires at least 5 touches within the trailing 200 trading days before treating a price zone as a genuine support level.
Can a support level become a resistance level?
Yes — a broken support level is commonly watched as a resistance level on any later retest from below, though MarketWall's support_reject/support_confirmation filters track the level itself, not that role reversal specifically.
